This week’s “Positive Affirmation of the Week” is a good one to use when you’re feeling great, but need the extra push to get through your routine. It’s our last one of 2012, and good one to carry you through as you start your New Year’s resolution.
“I am healthy and full of energy.”
A couple of weeks ago, I talked about how easy is it to get in a rut and wallow in self-pity, and how to use the “Every cell in my body vibrates with energy and health” to pull yourself out of it. This week, we’re using a similar affirmation to remind yourself that you are healthy and you have the energy to keep going until you reach your goal.
For me, it’s easy to get stuck in a “celebration phase” where I am celebrating a weight loss milestone. Instead of focusing on continuing to eat well and exercise like I had been doing to get to the milestone in the first place, I get stuck on celebrating and without the proper push to stay on track, the routine starts to go by the wayside. Before you know it, I’ve lost my routine, and I end up starting the cycle all over again.
I use this affirmation when I’m happy that I reached my goal, but I want to keep moving forward. Telling myself I’m healthy and full of energy makes me focus on everything I’ve done to get to that point, and motivates me to do the things I need to do to keep feeling healthy and full of energy. It also works on days when I have the nagging voice in the back of my head telling me that I can skip a workout. It reminds me there is a reason why I feel this way, and then helps me to refocus on my routine.
When you’re not feeling your best, or you’re looking for an excuse to skip your routine for the day, use this affirmation. It won’t be long before you’ve changed your mind and are back on track. Is your weight loss buddy stuck in a rut? Send this to them to remind them you’re in this together, and you’re not going to let them down!
